We visited Marco Island in early March, and had heard good things about Breakwater Adventures, so we decided to give them a try. Captain Dan greeted us at the dock, and was very professional throughout the 3-hour adventure. One of the best things about this activity is that you get the whole boat to yourselves - your own private tour! Just my wife and me, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law were on board. We had been given several options to choose from, including various water sports or even fishing, but we decided to keep it low-key - we opted for a tour the waterways, stopping on some remote islands to collect shells, and we wanted to search for dolphins. We learned about the history of the mangroves and other fun facts about the area, collected some beautiful shells, and were amazed by the show the dolphins put on just for us. If we travel to the West Coast of Florida again, we would definitely go back.
