Wow!! My fiance just now explained to me where she purchased a dress that i complimented her on and how she was treated at Christie Blue by the owner.
The owner pointed out the most inexpensive garments in the store upon her entering and when my fiance asked about a pair of jeans and if they were 20% off the owner exclaimed" if you can fit in them ill give you 20% off"
We both live here on the island in St. Augustine and my fiance does not have the luxury of being able to shop much due to her demanding schedule at work and when she does take the time to buy anything her and I both would rather give our business to local family owned shops more than ever.
This past Sunday was her day to treat herself to something nice and feel good.
Thanks to the snobby owner who treated her with zero customer service and with rude comments that" feel good feeling" did not happen.
I asked my fiance where the jeans were? She then told me my mom wouldnt have worn them anyway.
Thats the feel good feeling that was not fulfilled.. The jeans were for my mother and not her. Her gift in giving was her way of feeling good..
She bought the dress though. Im pretty sure
We will never step foot in Christie Blue along with my entire family who has been here in St Augustine for 33years..
