Not what any of the pictures that the website had posted. Very disappointed with money being spent. Was not aware that pools are being renovated. Area is very trashy. Room carpet, and floors in bathroom needed swept and vacuumed. Room quality is very poor. Cut out area in bathroom wall needs fixed. If I hadn't have driven for 13 hours and it being a holiday I would not be staying here tonight.

I'm not usually one to EVER leave reviews, especially not bad ones, but... I use to love coming to this hotel growing up and remembered it being a great place to stay years ago. I booked my hotel stay quite a bit in advance. After a nine hour drive, I was so excited for my friends to get to experience this awesome hotel that we'd be staying at while on vacation, only to discover that it was under construction, and it hardly even had a real lobby. We were not warned in advance about the construction and I should have seen the nonrefundable stay notification as a red flag. We were woken up at approximately 8am every single morning of our stay due to construction noises, a lot of them coming from right outside of our door. Even getting to the breakfast room was a challenge, due to construction workers carrying supplies back and forth and machinery blocking the hall ways. We felt rushed every morning that we had breakfast as well due to the fact that the attendant would lock the breakfast room doors from the inside as soon as 10am hit and hover around. Our hotel room was not what I remembered. The bathroom was gross and had a giant cutout hole in the wall. Whenever we walked barefoot on the carpeted floors, the bottoms of our feet turned black. We were facing the road on the bottom floor, AKA the WORST hotel room you can get, so no dreamy beachfront view for us. In order to access the beach, we had to walk to the Holiday Inn next door to use their entrance. If I had known about all of these circumstances, I would have coughed up the extra money and had just stayed at the Holiday Inn next to it.
