I recently went to ruth for a therapeutic massage. I had knee replacement surgery three years ago, followed by two additional revision surgeries on same knee. For the past three years, I’ve had difficulty with leg strength, which has resulted in me having to maneuver my body/back into odd positions to compensate for my leg weakness. In the past four weeks, I suffered significant lower back pain, which resulted in a visit to hospital er. Over next several weeks, I endured the pain of 3 nerve blocks in lower back to help reduce pain level. Doctor then started me on physical therapy twice weekly for past 3 weeks. Despit all of this, I’ve still had significant pain and leg weakness. Since nothing seemed to be helping, I decided to schedule a massage with Ruth. She began to work her magic, first working the source of back pain, then worked entire back and leg muscles. As she worked each area, initially it was very sensitive, and about 1/3 way through massage, I realized I had little to no pain. In fact, I relaxed so much, that I began to fall asleep. Ruth has magic hands and always seems to go right to the areas requiring attention. Her hands are like divining rods — finding the vein of pain and working it till there is no pain. I always seem to wait till I’m in bad shape before realizing that the solution to my pain can easily be resolved by scheduling a massage with Ruth. She will become part of my monthly preventive care routine. I highly recommend Ruth — I have had the pleasure of being a client for over 8 years, and have always left her session feeling so much better than when I walked in.
