My room was on the ground floor facing the street. There is a truck stop across the small two lane street. I was kept awake all night with the sound of semi trucks going by. The sound insulation in these rooms are non existent. The wifi was spotty at best and the bathroom vent fan circulated cigarette smoke into my room from other surrounding rooms. Luckily by day three they switched to pot smoke which smells so much better than cigarettes. The water smelled/tasted like untreated well water ( sulphur-rotten eggs- for those of you who are lucky enough never to smell Florida well water) At one point I asked the desk clerk if he had a bottle opener. He peeled himself away from his laptop and said, “what’s that”?”. He opened a couple drawers and said no. There were scumy looking people hanging out in the parking lot almost every night. I have stayed in all levels of motel/hotel rooms. This is at best a 1 star motel. The cost was $99 per night and was equal to $40 per night rooms. The motel was not by any “attractions” it was a true highway motel. Just off the highway, no frills, no customer service-basic motel at a much higher rate than it deserves. I should have paid $25 per night more to be closer to my family and a nicer room/experience.
Great stay. Clean rooms. Quiet. Ac is great. TV is good. Location is great. Good price.
