Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q

We've eaten at the Jim n Nick's in Denver, Colorado and have always had good service and good food. However, this location was lacking the service. I've never seen such a dysfunctional staff--openly fighting and dissing of coworkers. Our waitress tried to make up for our wait, but the negative atmosphere amongst coworkers couldn't be overlooked. We waited over an hour and a half. We couldn't understand why, as there were many open tables. Our food was good, but by the time it finally came, some of the food was cold. We'll dine in Denver, but this location had poor service.

Good food. Certainly had much better but this was good bbq. Family had sandwiches, platter, & a salad. All were good. Only strange item we arrived before 4pm and were given both lunch & dinner menus. Took a bit for waitress to arrive so we ordered when she asked about drinks. Three of us had picked items from the lunch menu and after she started writing them down said it was after 4pm we "can't use lunch menu". I peaked at my watch and it was 4:04pm. We quickly changed our order. Didn't see a reason to question their rule - it's their restaurant - but wasted dinner thinking it would have been before 4pm if she wasn't slow. Was that on purpose? what is the standard for time cutoff - is it arrival? seating? order time? Why did the hostess give us the lunch menus? Would have never thought about it if they never gave it to us. Why "can't" we use that menu?
