Despite only one very small claim in 30 years, I have been dropped by more homeowners' insurance companies in the last 10 years than you can imagine. To make matters worse, every time my policy was canceled and transferred, the bill for insurance got bigger. After the last cancellation, I contacted Fred Robinson Insurance, a local company in business in Indialantic for many years. I had to do a couple minor upgrades (like hurricane panels), but they were able to find a stable underwriter for way less than what I was paying before. The staff was proactive and pleasant (another contrast to the others!), and doing business with them was truly a pleasure. Being local, they know who's writing policies in this area. Give them a shot.
