On October 12, 2010, I spoke with Realtor Jenny Teel about my office needs, and she hung up on me.
Why?
Apparently because I asked her about a Virtual Office, and whether she could help me find one for the Crestview area.
I get that virtual offices are a new concept to rural areas. And politely explained exactly what I was searching for, and willing to pay. Yet she hung up on another business professional. I actually called back because I thought we had been accidentally disconnected, only to be told by the receptionist that "she has chosen not to speak with [me]."
This was a routine business call. She must have been having a bad day, but I am embarrassed for her and the entire company.
When business is tough is the time to be extra polite and go the extra mile for potential customers, not treat them with contempt because the market's bad, sales are slow and the guy calling is looking to lease a virtual office, not buy an overpriced Crestview home.
